Welcome to the Maine Island Touring Company. I am Capt. Brian Gehan and I hope you will join me in my 16' Amesbury Dory to explore the islands and channels of Maine's Kennebec and Sheepscot tidewater regions. From Merrymeeting Bay, New England's largest inland bay, to the rocky coast, this area offers much to experience. Spend a morning observing nesting bald eagles, osprey, or waterfowl, or head offshore to float amidst a colony of gray and harbor seals. My boat and mode of passage are specifically tailored to provide the most in depth exposure to birds and ecology. By offering a slower paced, more placid setting, we observe the surroundings without disturbance. Access to these tours is available from Bath, Boothbay Harbor, Phippsburg, or any of the surrounding islands, such as Georgetown, where I reside. Come explore the web of tidewater channels that characterize this intricate region of Maine's coast.
